The psychology Center is a training research based center that provides counseling, consulting, therapy, and training and seminars to office based employees working in the shipping environment; in house and worldwide.

Office based brief therapy interventions for addressing anxiety, depression, panic disorder and stress.

IMEQ© Center has established a network of professional mental health experts with specialty on anxiety, depression, panic disorder, and stress.

Brief Session Treatments

  1. Cognitive therapy examines how negative thoughts, or cognitions, contribute to anxiety.
  2. Behavior therapy examines how you behave and react in situations that trigger anxiety.
It is important for all seafarers to contact IMEQ© Center Premises, and our Mental Health Professional Human Resources Manager will be able to filter the needs of the client and assign them to a Mental Health Professional who specializes in the symptomatology or needs of our client.
It is important for our client to understand that treatment and duration all depend on severity of symptomatology. Brief therapy counseling is not for severe disorders, and is only intended to moderate symptoms, and provide a better understanding of the self.

IMEQ© Center has created the Stress Reduction Programs which are held at our premises, carried out by our most professional mental health experts specialized in Mindfulness Technique. Our programs aims to alleviate the symptoms that come along with stress, and help individuals to achieve better performance in the work environment.

Certification on EQ Leadership, 10 hours for completion for office based employees.

Mental Health Awareness Programs - Videos Articles - Workshops - Trainings

Our Mental Health Awareness Programs are facilitated onboard and is of informative nature. The crew is informed on Mental Health, Prevention, and Risks associated with. In addition seafarers will receive all the information they need as to who to contact, search or ask for assistance when in need. Out team of experts will provide this Program to all vessels of our clients, once a year. This is a program aiming to promote wellness at sea, and knowledge on the topic of mental health. The Program includes Videos, workshops, and training techniques such as intervention techniques.

The IMEQ© psychology department of certified psychologists and psychiatrists is the primary provider of all services and programs. Our programs target both seafarers onboard and office based executives.
