The counseling Center for seafarers is a training research based center that provides counseling, consulting, therapy, training and seminars to seafarers working in the shipping environment; in house and worldwide.

Brief Session Treatments
Post traumatic Stress disorder, or PTSD, is a serious potentially debilitating condition that can occur in people who have experienced or witnessed a natural disaster, serious accident, terrorist incident, sudden death of a loved one, war, violent personal assault such as rape, or other life-threatening events.
How does treatment improve my symptoms?
IMEQ© Center has created the Stress Reduction Programs which are held at our premises, carried out by our most professional mental health experts specialized in Mindfulness Technique. Our programs aims to alleviate the symptoms that come along with stress, and help individuals to achieve better performance in the work environment.
Debriefing is a specific technique designed to assist others in dealing with the physical or psychological symptoms that are generally associated with trauma exposure. Debriefing allows those involved with the incident to process the event and reflect on its impact.
Work-related psychosocial risks have been identified as one of the major contemporary challenges for occupational health and safety; and are linked to workplace problems such as work-related stress, violence, harassment and bullying. In today’s working environment onboard, psychosocial factors have been linked to lower production, higher risks, and cost inefficiency. In order for IMEQ© Center to provide accurate consultancy on further improvement of life onboard, we have created a customized psychosocial risk management program. This program aims in assessing the psychosocial risks onboard and providing our client with a report of observations, recommendations, and solutions.
The Crisis Prevention Intervention Certification seminar provides numerous basic principles regarding how to prevent, intervene, and work as a team to deal with crisis behavior when it occurs. Officers who have completed 2 hours of this session onboard or at an associate’s office located nearby, will receive a Certificate of Completion
Our Mental Health Awareness Programs are facilitated onboard and is of informative nature. The crew is informed on Mental Health, Prevention, and Risks associated with. In addition seafarers will receive all the information they need as to who to contact, search or ask for assistance when in need. Out team of experts will provide this Program to all vessels of our clients, once a year. This is a program aiming to promote wellness at sea, and knowledge on the topic of mental health. The Program includes Videos, workshops, and training techniques such as intervention techniques.
The IMEQ© psychology department of certified psychologists and psychiatrists is the primary provider of all services and programs. Our programs target both seafarers onboard and office based executives.
